What Functions do you attend?
In short, anything which requires a disco!. Our Mobile Disco has attended thousands of corporate and private events from Wedding Receptions, Family Birthdays, Retirements, Engagements, Christmas Parties, School Discos, Youth Groups etc
How Long have you been established?
The
Ultimate Roadshow was established in 1988, although Chris has been DJ'ing
since 1987, and Richard joined in 1990. We take our industry and business
very seriously and are members of the Musicians Union and other professional
associations. All bookings are confirmed to our clients in writing.
The
Ultimate Roadshow is not an agency and is owner operated, which means
that we do not sub contract out work to other DJ's or work on a commission
basis.
What is included in your fee?
Our prices are fully inclusive!. There are no hidden extras or additional fees unless the function continues beyond the contracted period or additional services are required. We provide you with a professional Sound & Lighting rig, two vastly experienced DJ's and a wide and varied music selection.
What music do you play?We
have a very comprehensive selection of music. This includes popular music
from the last five decades including Motown, Soul, Rock'n'Roll, along
with the very latest chart tracks. At the majority of functions with a
mixture of all ages in attendance we find that a selection of all types
of music eras are welcome. Suitable Low level background music is played
whilst your guests arrive and during any Evening buffet or dining break.
Request slip's can be placed on each table at the start of the evening
and guests are invited to make their request's throughout. We play to
the age range of an audience, for instance, Chart & Party Music at
a childrens function, 60's & 70's at a retro night, and a mixture
for Family Functions and Wedding Receptions.
Yes!!, if you wish, you can submit a "Playlist" to us before the event. Most people, however, prefer us to play a wide and popular selection of music for an event with various age groups attending and just send us a small selection of their favourite tracks. Please feel free to send us any special request's and we will endeavour to play them for you!. When you make your music selection, please bear in mind the varied range and musical tastes of the guests who are attending your function. We would recommend that any request list submitted by our clients is kept to under 15 tracks to allow for continuity and the requests on the night!.
I've Just been quoted £50 from another company can you match that?
Like any other business, prices do vary when you shop around. However I would research the reputation of any mobile disco charging so little and consider the reason. A Mobile Disco can make or break a Wedding Reception, and an inexperienced DJ or one who lets you down at the last minute may ruin an otherwise perfect wedding day. By choosing your DJ based purely on the cheapest quote, may prove to be false economy in the long run.
Can You Recommend a Band?
Yes!. Our professional activities over the years have put us in close contact with many other Wedding Service Professionals. Does your Mobile Disco have Public Liability Insurance?
Yes. it is now increasingly a requirement by most venues and hotel chains that any visiting Mobile Disco has Public Liability Insurance. The Ultimate Roadshow has £10 Million of Liability Cover and PAT tested Electrical Equipment which is more than the minimum required by venues. Remember to ask this question before booking any DJ, since those mobile discos without adequate cover may be refused access to work at the venue and you may be left without a DJ.
Are you a member of any professional association or trade body?

Roadshow is a member of the Musicians Union, DJ Associates and Founders
of DJ's United
Do You Use Fog Machines or Strobe lights?
We usually limit the use of these for Teenage Discos and young adults rather than Family Functions, since older age groups tend to find them intrusive and the use of these may ultimately spoil their enjoyment of the evening. We are happy to include these type of effects but only by request.. You should also ensure that the venue will allow the use of a smoke machine before requesting it's use. There are no additional charges for the use of these effects where requested at the time of booking.
What are your fees?
Our fee is dependant on several factors, including the duration of the function and the distance we have to travel. The fastest way to obtain an individual quotation is to use our Online Quotation Form

Weddings make up the vast majority of our workload, especially during the summer months and we have done so many over the the years that we are now considered specialists in these types of occasion. Unlike some other DJ's we don't charge a premium for Wedding Receptions or for Bookings held in Marquees.
We have covered 100's of Weddings over the years and we are always happy to offer advice, since we fully understand your anticipation and concerns. Rest Assured that we have a 100% attendance record, and we are willing to work with you to ensure that your special day is a great success.

Do you provide discos for Under 16's and Childrens Parties?
Yes, we have a special roadshow for Under 16's which includes Glowsticks, Smoke Machine and our highly popular 'Snow Machine' which is a huge hit with the kids.
